Dennis Austin and his wife Harriet were members of the original launch team for Church at Red River. Dennis served in the U.S. Navy for four years, graduated with a degree in sociology from Louisiana Tech University, worked as a juvenile probation officer for two years and retired from Forest Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a sales manager in 2003. He was ordained September 2006 and currently serves as the associate pastor. Bringing a wealth of life experience to this ministry Pastor Dennis’ goal is to introduce families and individuals to the life-changing, life-giving person of Jesus Christ. Teaching and counseling are two areas he enjoys most. His hobbies include golfing, followed by water-tower climbing, and contact bowling. He also has an extensive sea shell collection which he keeps scattered on beaches all over the world. One of his favorite scripture passages is John 10:10, “I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Phillip Cole, aka Tonto, is the student pastor. If you ever want to receive a round-house kick from Phil, just bring him some taco bell. He hates it. His hobbies include coffee, working out, camping, and coffee. Did I mention coffee?
